Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain & Sourcing Manager (China) with 7+ years of working experience
to join our Operations / Hardware & Product Delivery team and help in the end-to-end sourcing,
procurement, and supply chain setup for laptops, educational kits, and other hardware from China. The
ideal candidate will build reliable supplier networks, negotiate competitive pricing, ensure quality and
compliance, and manage production-to-delivery execution (including logistics and customs).
Job Responsibilities:
∙Build and own the China supply chain strategy for laptops, educational kits, electronics, and
accessories (OEM/ODM sourcing).
∙Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers (factories, trading companies, assemblers) across key
categories.
∙Run supplier due diligence: capability assessment, audits/virtual audits, sample evaluation, MOQ
alignment, and capacity checks.
∙Lead RFQs, costing models (BOM + labor + packaging + logistics), and negotiations (price, lead
times, payment terms, warranty).
∙Coordinate product development handoff to manufacturing: DFM alignment, prototyping, pilot runs,
and production readiness.
∙Define and implement quality systems: incoming inspection plans, AQL standards, pre-shipment
inspections, and failure handling (RMA/returns).
∙Manage production schedules, purchase orders, and shipment planning to ensure on-time delivery for
schools/camps/projects.
∙Oversee logistics: freight selection (air/sea/courier), Incoterms, consolidation, warehousing, and last-
mile delivery coordination.
∙Handle import readiness for Pakistan (or target markets): HS codes, documentation, duties/taxes
estimates, and clearing coordination.
∙Set up supply chain SOPs, vendor scorecards, risk registers, and reporting (lead time, OTIF, cost
savings, quality KPIs).
∙Create backup suppliers and contingency plans for shortages, delays, and geopolitical/shipping
disruptions.
∙Work closely with finance and legal on contracts, compliance, and payment risk controls (LC/TT
milestones).
Required Skills:
∙Strong experience sourcing from China (electronics/hardware categories preferred: laptops, PC
accessories, IoT, robotics, PCBAs).
∙Supplier negotiation expertise (pricing, warranty, payment terms, delivery SLAs).
∙Understanding of OEM/ODM manufacturing, quality control processes, and inspection workflows
(AQL, pre-shipment, incoming QC).
∙Practical knowledge of Incoterms, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and international
shipping.
∙Ability to create clear SOPs, trackers, and dashboards (Excel/Google Sheets; ERP/Procurement tools
are a plus).
∙Strong communication and coordination skills with factories, forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
∙Comfortable with travel and factory visits (when needed) and managing vendors remotely
(WeChat/Email/Calls).
∙Risk management mindset with ability to troubleshoot delays, quality issues, and supply disruptions.
Experience:
Minimum: 7 years in sourcing/procurement/supply chain with hands-on China sourcing
Preferred: 10+ years with proven experience in electronics hardware categories and multi-supplier
ecosystems
Education/Qualification
∙Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
∙Preferred: MBA / Master’s or certifications (e.g., CSCP/CPIM/CIPS) and proven experience with
international trade/imports
